Kitchen lifts (dumbwaiters) are specially designed compact systems for the vertical transport of food, beverages, trays, dishes and small goods between the various floors of a building. With a load capacity of 50 to 300 kg, these lifts are an ideal solution wherever fast and hygienic transfer of products is required, without engaging staff to carry items manually up the stairs.
The structure is made entirely of stainless steel or has a coating suitable for contact with food, complying with HACCP hygiene standards. The smooth surfaces without corners and recesses ensure easy cleaning and disinfection, while the antibacterial coating prevents the growth of microorganisms.
Kitchen lifts are equipped with vertically sliding (guillotine) doors that open upwards and do not take up additional space in front of the opening. This is particularly important in tight kitchen and storage areas, where every square metre is valuable.
The doors are fitted with a safe-closing mechanism and an interlock that prevents the car from moving while a door is open. Each floor features an indicator showing the current position of the car, and the call button is easily accessible even with your hands full.
Kitchen lifts in retail facilities handle the transport of goods from storage areas to the sales floors. Their compact dimensions allow installation in confined spaces, while their silent operation does not disturb customers. Suitable for moving boxes, packaging and small pallets of products.
In restaurants, the kitchen lift connects the kitchen with the dining area located on a different floor. Prepared dishes are transported quickly and safely, preserving their temperature and presentation. An ideal solution for room service in hotels and for moving linen and supplies between floors.
In medical institutions, kitchen lifts transport food for patients, medicines, laboratory samples and sterile materials. The special hygienic coatings and the option for UV sterilisation of the car make them ideal for environments with increased sanitary requirements.
All kitchen lifts comply with the international safety standards EN 81-3 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The structure is intended exclusively for the transport of goods - the entry of people into the car is strictly prohibited. The dimensions of the car and the doors are designed so as not to allow access by a person, and the interlock mechanisms additionally guarantee safe operation.
The system includes emergency stopping, movement interlock when a door is open on any floor, overload protection and automatic emergency lowering in the event of a power failure. All components are certified and subject to regular technical inspection.
