Travelators (moving walkways) and escalators are an integral part of the infrastructure of modern shopping centres, airports, metro stations, railway stations and public buildings with high passenger flow. They provide continuous and comfortable transport of people between different levels and across long horizontal distances, significantly improving the accessibility and functionality of the facilities.
Our escalators and travelators combine high performance with exceptional reliability and low maintenance costs. Designed for continuous 24/7 operation, they withstand intensive use in the busiest public spaces, ensuring safety and comfort for every passenger.
Depending on the architectural solution and functional requirements, we offer four main layout types for travelators:
In this option the moving walkways are arranged in sequence with gaps between them. The passenger steps off one walkway, walks a short distance on foot and boards the next one. Suitable for long corridors in airports and shopping centres where a large distance must be covered but there is sufficient space for transition zones. It allows the placement of advertising areas and retail outlets between the sections.
Two parallel moving walkways travelling in opposite directions are positioned directly next to each other without interruption. This configuration is optimal for two-way traffic in metro stations, underpasses and airport connecting corridors. The minimal space used and the continuous flow in both directions ensure maximum efficiency.
In this configuration the walkways are positioned on different levels or at an angle, crossing each other to serve traffic from different directions. An ideal option for complex architectural solutions with multiple connecting corridors and levels, such as large transport hubs and mega-malls. It allows efficient redirection of passenger flow without conflict points.
A single long moving walkway without interruptions, covering the entire distance from start to end point. Suitable for straight sections with a significant distance, such as connecting tunnels between airport terminals or long retail galleries. It provides maximum convenience for passengers with luggage, as there is no need to step off and board again.
Each escalator and travelator is equipped with eight independent safety systems, ensuring protection of passengers under all conditions:
Reinforced steel truss construction with an anti-corrosion coating. Red emergency stop buttons at the entrance and exit with instant shutdown of the drive.
Handrail speed sensors ensuring synchronisation with the steps. If the speed difference exceeds 5%, the system stops automatically, preventing accidents.
Continuous monitoring of the drive chain tension with automatic stopping in case of elongation, loosening or breakage of the chain.
Mechanical and electrical interlock preventing uncontrolled reverse movement of the steps under load or in case of a drive failure.
Inductive sensors detect sagging or misalignment of the steps, stopping the escalator before a potential incident with passengers.
Specialised sensors detect breakage of the drive chain in real time and activate emergency stopping within milliseconds, preventing free movement.
Pressure sensors and comb interlock at the entrance and exit, preventing shoes, clothing and objects from being caught between the steps and the comb.
Inductive sensors detect a missing step in the moving band and immediately stop the escalator, preventing dangerous situations for passengers.
